Family Lasagna Aunt Doris

LASAGNA


Recipe Aunt Doris

350 55 minutes can freeze before baking
3/4 lb ground pork, 2- 3 lbs ground beef
2 onions chopped ,2 cloves garlic or minced 1 tbs approx
Cook beef, pork,onion and garlic until meat is brown ..drain fat
Add
2 16 ou cans tomatoes( do not drain)
2 15 ounce can of sauce
¼ c parsley flakes
¼ c sugar
2teas salt ,2 teas basil leaves
Cook w/ meat mixture to a boil then reduce
Simmer about 30 minutes until thickened
Remove from heat
Mix together…1 c parmesan cheese, 2 ..24 ou cottage cheese
2tbs parsley flakes, 1 tbs salt
2 teas oregano leaf
Mix into meat and tomato mixture
While cooking meat
… cook 2 8 oz pkg lasagna noodles about 7 min
in boiling water,  drain and cool..keep in cool water until use.
Grease 9 x12 pan ( makes 2 pans)
Layer noodles,   3 each layer
Add sauce about 2 to 3 cups  I used a soup ladle
Then spread a big handful of mozarella between layers
Makes 3 layers,   2 9 x 12 pans...You can use foil pans
 350 55 min to 1 hour
Add garlic bread ... cook while lasagna is setting up on stove for
at least 10 minutes
